One person died Monday evening after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Kalamazoo County, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
Just before 5:45 p.m., deputies responded to a crash on westbound I-94 at mile marker 68 near Mattawan, authorities said.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KCSO.
Authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the crash or released the driver’s identity.
The incident remains under investigation. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to contact KCSO to assist investigators.
